Justin Gaethje produced yet another ‘Highlight’ reel finish tonight with a first round knockout victory over Edson Barboza in the main event of UFC On ESPN 2.
Round One:
The main event is underway in Philadelphia.
Gaethje with a low kick and then another. Hard leg kick for Barboza and one in respons efrom Gaethje. Then another for Barboza. These two are just brutalizing each others legs.
Gaethje switches things up and lands big punches that rock Barboza. Gaethje continuing to pour on the offense, but Barboza hangs on in there.
Gaethje into the clinch now and that’ll give Barboza some time to recover as he nurses an eye wound.
They go back to striking range and Gaethje lands hard again. Barboza clips Gaethje hard too. Both men throw caution to the wind as they swing for the fences.
This one could end at any second with this kind of heat being thrown.
Barboza moving back and Gaethje uncorks a huge right hook and that knocks Barboza out cold at 2.30mins of the first round!!
