Mackenzie Dern recently gave birth to her first child and now she’s ready to make her comeback in the Octagon.
With that in mind Dern has verbally agreed to fight Amanda Ribas at UFC Fight Night 161 on October 12th in California.
Dern will be looking to build upon her so-far perfect 7-0 career record, which includes two wins in the UFC so far, starting with a split decision win over Ashley Yoder, followed by a first round submission victory over Amanda Bobby Cooper in May of last year.
Dern then surprised everyone in February of this year when she revealed that she was pregnant and her daughter Moa was born in June.
As for Ribas, she made a successful debut in the UFC just last month with a submission victory over Emily Whitmore, taking her record to 7-1 overall.
Ribas would have made her debut sooner, but she had been suspended for two years by USADA soon after joining the UFC due to a positive drug test for Ostarine, though that ban was later overturned due to evidence showing that the banned substance had come from a contaminated supplement.
Dern vs. Ribas joins a UFC Fight Night 161 card that will likely be headlined by another female fight as Joanna Jedrzejczyk takes on Michelle Waterson.
