MarQuel Mederos TKO’d Mason Jones in the 2nd round of an exciting back-and-forth striking battle tonight at UFC Fight Night 285.

Round One

Low kick from Mederos to start. Inside leg kick from Jones. Right hook from Mederos in close.

Another very low kick from Mederos. Body kick from Jones. He lands again. Tight hook from Mederos and a low kick.

Jones works the jab and then a body kick. Jab and then back to the body kick again.

Good low kick from Mederos. Jones lands the jab. Now a body punch as he comes in to the clinch. They soon go back to striking range though.

Exchange of punches in close. Now Jones backs up Mederos with a combination of punches.

Uppercut in close from Jones, but he has some damage below his left eye. Another exchange of punches at close range.

Spinning kick to the body from Jones. Heavy three-piece combo from Murphy, but Mederos landed too.

Jones takes Mederos off his feet with a big low kick. Jones now gets on top, but he tries to take the back and overcommits, enabling Mederos to get on top late in the round. Elbow strike for Mederos and Jones threatens with upkicks.

Round Two

Kick high to the body from Jones. Left hand for Mederos. Jab from Jones. Nice couple of punches from Mederos.

Mederos with another combnation. Ripping body shot from Jones. Solid right hand from Jones.

Jones comes forward with jabs. Solid elbow strike from Mederos. Jones continues working the jab and lands a front kick to the body.

A few solid straight punches from Jones. They clinch and Jones lands knees to the body.

Elbow strike lands for Mederos and wobbles Jones for a moment. Jones trying to fight through that, but Mederos blasts him with another big elbow that stuns him again!

Mederos going for the kill-shot now as he land repeated left and right hooks, with a final one buckling Jones legs as the ref steps in, though somehow he still stayed upright. Impressive TKO win for Mederos at 2:07mins of the 2nd round.
