Maycee Barber maintained her unbeaten record in style tonight at UFC On ESPN 6 as she TKO’d Gillian Robertson in the first round with a barrage of strikes against the cage.
Round One:
Jab for Barber. Robertson thinks about a takedown attempt and then lands a leg kick instead.
Another kick from Robertson as a punch from Barber comes up short. Short right for Barber, but gets caught with a counter.
Robertson with a flurry of punches and a kick without really finding the mark. Solid strike for Barber. Robertson pulls guard and tries to keep Barber on the mat with her, but Barber is back up and is getting pressed against the cage.
They exchange knees against the cage. Elbows for Barber. Robertson tries to bring her down without success and now Barber reverses thhe clinch position.
Barber suddenly unleashes huge lefts and rights and she’s landing some big shots here. Now Barber with a big elbow to the temple and back to power hooks again.
Robertson under siege here and the ref has seen enough, stepping in to end the fight by TKO and save her from further punishment at 3.04mins of the first round.
