After the biggest and hardest fought win of his career against Anderson Silva on Saturday, Michael Bisping is already looking ahead to his next potential opponent, and he appears to have his sights set on Nick Diaz.
Following the fight in London, England this past weekend Diaz posted up a meme on Twitter showing Bisping raising his glass with the caption, “When you remain undefeated at home despite getting knocked out.”
Bisping didn’t take too kindly to that and fired back, suggesting that perhaps Diaz was smarting due to the fact that he was unable to defeat Silva when they fought last year.
“Hey @nickdiaz209 see your talking shit,” Bisping replied. “Don’t be bitter cos I beat somebody you couldn’t. Thought you were cooler than that. Obviously wrong. I’d of thought @nickdiaz209 would be more concerned about the beating his bro is gonna get next week, rather than looking for his own. For the record I like @nickdiaz209 I’ve always been a fan. But if wants to throw down I’m in.”
Diaz is currently serving an 18 month suspension after testing positive for marijuana following his fight with Silva and is expected to return to the Octagon in August of this year.
