Paddy Pimblett Puts Bobby Green To Sleep In 1st Round At UFC 304

Paddy Pimblett extended his UFC winning streak to six fights tonight with an impressive first-round submission win over Bobby Green.

Round One:

Low kick from Pimblett. Green with kicks too. Solid calf kick from Pimblett. Green trying for side kicks.

Pimblett lands a nice punch. Green still looking for side kicks. They exchange a low kick apiece.

Green goes for a takedown off a Pimblett inside kick, but Pimblett works immediately for a guillotine then a quick transition to a triangle choke from his back. It looks to be in tight, but Green isn’t giving up easily.

Pimblett continues to adjust this choke and it doesn’t look like Green’s getting out of this. Pimblett ups the ante further by working in an armbar alongside the choke. However it turns out Green has already been rendered unconscious from the choke and so Pimblett lets go and celebrates his submission finish at 3.22mins of the opening round.

That’s Pimblett’s biggest win to date and not only will he earn respect for finishing a battle-hardened veteran like Green so quickly, but he’ll also take a spot on the lightweight rankings next week too.
