Rachael Ostovich Will Still Fight PVZ In January After All

Rachael Ostovich recently pulled out oa a fight with Paige VanZant at UFC On ESPN+ 1 in January due to being the victim of an incident of domestic abuse that left her with a broken orbital bone.

her husband his since been charged with second-degree assault, but after taking stock of the situation it seems that Ostovich is now keen to seize the opportunity to still fight VanZant.

“Rachael went for a follow up today and due to the position of the injury and how it’s healing, the doctors have cleared her and she will be more than healed up in time for this fight,” Osotovich’s manager Brian Butler-Au told MMA Fighting. “She had her eyes and heart set on this fight and never wanted to pull out of it.”

VanZant was clearly excited by the news too and took to social media to confirm the fight was back on.

“FIGHT STILL ON!!!!!” PVZ wrote. “I couldn’t be more great full to @rachaelostovich Yes we are going to war with each other in the cage, but I stand by her side with her ongoing battle at home. Let’s put on a fight and show these people how strong we are. #GirlPower #UFC.”
