Raul Rosas Jr will headline his first show when he fights Raoni Barcelos in the main event of UFC Fight Night 289 at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas on September 26th.

Rosas made headlines when he became the youngest UFC fighter ever by signing at 17 after impressing on the Contender Series.

Now 21, Rosas Jr has so far lived up to his early potential by winning six of his seven UFC fights so far, and is currently on a five-fight winning streak.

It’s only recently that his level of opposition has really started to increase though, beating veteran fighter Vince Morales last year on the scorecards, before earning his biggest win to date by beating Rob Font by unanimous decision back in March.

Now Rosas Jr will go up against another experienced campaigner in Barcelos, who is also doing his best to prove that age is just a number by going on a five-fight winning streak at the ripe old age of 39.

Barcelos has beaten some notable names along the way, including becoming the first fighter to hand the highly regarded Payton Talbott a loss back in January of last year, followed by wins over the likes of ex-champ Cody Garbrandt, Ricky Simon and most recently Montel Jackson to take the No.8 spot on the bantamweight rankings.
