Former long-time bantamweight champion Renan Barao looked like a new man at a recent media scrum to promote his upcoming title rematch with TJ Dillashaw at UFC On FOX 16 in Chicago on July 25th.
It wasn’t just the fact that he appears confident he’ll get the better of Dillashaw this time, or the new haircut he was sporting for the occasion, but rather the fact that he’s finally got rid of what an tongue-in-cheek UFC promo once jokingly described as “a Jens Pulver smile” by getting a completely new set of teeth.
Dillashaw upset Barao back in May of last year, becoming the first man to defeat him in nine years to become the new bantamweight champion. A rematch then fell through on extremely short notice later the same year after Barao hit his head after passing out due to a tough weight cut, though Barao has since got back on the horse and earned a submission win over Mitch Gagnon back in December.
