Robert Whittaker made short work of late replacement Ikram Aliskereov in the main event of UFC On ABC 6, knocking him out in less than two minutes of fighting.
Round One:
The middleweight main event is underway in Saudi Arabia!
Half a minute gone and Whittaker lands a low kick. He goes to that again and then gets out of range before Aliskerov can counter.
Nice jab for Whittaker. Leg kick for Aliskerov. Heavy right hand from Whittaker and Aliskerov is wobbled! Whittaker on the warpath now as he closes in and unleashes a couple of punches followed by a missed head kick.
He then sizes up Aliskerov, steps in with a jab and lands a perfectly placed uppercut that floors him. Aliskerov woozily trying to stand back up but Whittaker is having none of that as he lands more thumping uppercuts to force the ref to end the fight, resulting in a KO victory at 1.49mins of the opening round.
