Ronda Rousey Vs Cat Zingano Pushed Back To UFC 184 In February

Ronda Rousey’s next woman’s bantamweight title defense against Cat Zingano has been pushed back to UFC 184 on February 28th of next year in Los Angeles.

The fight had originally been expected to serve as the co-main event of UFC 182 on January 3rd in Las Vegas as the co-main event to Jon Jones Vs Daniel Cormier, but instead it’ll feature on the same spot under a middleweight title clash between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort.

As a result, a lightweight fight between Donald Cerrone and Myles Jury will now become the co-main event for UFC 182, the first pay-per-view event of 2015.

Carrying a perfect 10-0 record into the contest, Rousey will be looking to make the fifth successful defence of her 135lb title, with all so far having been won inside the distance including a 16 second TKO finish of Alexis Davis last time out.

No.1 contender Zingano only returned to action last month after an 18 month absence due to knee surgery and the death of her husband, but despite that hardship she was able to improve her record to 9-0 with a third round TKO win against Amanda Nunes.

Like Rousey, Zingano is also a finisher having only gone to the judges scorecards once in her career to date.
