Ross Pearson Vs Paul Felder Set For UFC 191

a lightweight encounter between Ross Pearson and Paul Felder has been added to the UFC 191 fight card on September 5th.

That means a relatively quick return to action for the two fighters who are both coming off a loss in their last trip to the Octagon.

For Pearson, a former winner of The Ultimate Fighter reality show, that defeat came via unanimous decision againstEvan Dunham at UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow last month. It was a disappointing night’s work for ‘The Real Deal’ that continued his recent trend of ‘win one, lose one’ over the past few years.

Felder is also looking to shake off the spectre of defeat, though his circumstances are different in that his decision loss to Edson Barboza brought an end to a 10 fight unbeaten start to his MMA career.

Felder put in a very respectable showing against the Brazilian, his toughest opponent to date, so his stock hasn’t dropped much at all despite failing to maintain his unblemished record.

The 31 year-old wasn’t satisfied with his performance though and had been hoping for a quick return to action, and that’s exactly what he’s got, with this booking coming just less than two weeks after that bout.

UFC 191 will be headlined by a flyweight title rematch between Demetrious Johnson and John Dodson with Andrei Arlovski Vs Frank Mir in the co-main event and Anthony Johnson Vs Jimi Manuwa also recently added to the main card line-up.

As things stand it looks like Pearson Vs Felder will end up as the featured prelim on the night prior to the pay-per-view broadcast.
