A rematch between Roxanne Modafferi and Andrea Lee has been announced for an upcoming UFC event on September 12th.
The two first fought back in 2014 at Invicta FC 10, with Modafferi narrowly emerging victorious on that occasion by split decision.
Now they’ll lock horns again at a time when Modafferi is looking to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Lauren Murphy at UFC On ESPN 11 just a few weeks ago.
Modafferi has been alternating between wins and losses during her UFC tenure so far, but during that time has picked up notable victories over the likes of Maycee Barber, Antonina Shevchenko and Barb Honchak.
As for ‘KGB’ Lee, she started her UFC run with a three-fight winning streak, but has since suffered back-to-back split decision losses to Joanne Calderwood and then Lauren Murphy.
Nevertheless, Lee still holds the No.9 spot in the women’s flyweight rankings, two places below Modafferi who is No.7.
As things stand the Modafferi vs. Lee match-up is the only fight currently earmarked for the September 12th show, which also doesn’t have a confirmed location yet either.
