New Strikeforce signing Sara McMann will make her debut against Liz Carmouche at Strikeforce: Cormier Vs Mir on November 3rd.
Olympic wrestling silver medalist McMann, widely seen as a contender to Ronda Rousey’s 135lb woman’s title, is getting a tough first assignment here as Carmouche is a respected fighter who’s only two losses have come to former champions Marloes Coenen and Sarah Kaufman.
Both fighters have recently been plying their trade for the all-female Invicta FC promotion, with McMann defeating Shayna Baszler to go 6-0 in her MMA career to date, while Carmouche has claimed two stoppage victories to extend her record to 7-2.
It’s not yet been confirmed if the fight will feature on the main card, which already features a heavyweight fight between Daniel Cormier and Frank Mir plus a middleweight title fight starring Luke Rockhold and Lorenz Larkin.
