Tito Ortiz Arrested On Suspicion of Drink Driving

Former UFC star and current Bellator fighter Tito Ortiz was arrested early this morning in Los Angeles on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Ortiz is believed to have lost control of his Porsche Panamera at around 4am on the I-405 close to Santa Monica Boulevard and subsequently crashed into the median.

Ortiz left the UFC last year after slumping to his seventh loss in nine fights, but despite that record the former champion found a new home with rival promotion Bellator who then set out to have him headline their first ever pay-per-view event last November against Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.

However, the PPV had to be scrapped at short notice after Ortiz suffered a neck injury, capping off a rough year for the 38 year-old who was also embroiled in a bitter custody battle with his ex-porn star wife Jemma Jameson.

It should be noted that this isn’t Ortiz’s first crash in recent years as his Rolls Royce Phantom was involved in a three-car pile-up in Calfornia back in 2011.

There was no indication of Driving Under the Influence on that occasion, though he did have to foot the bill to repair the luxury car since his insurance didn’t cover it.
