Tito Ortiz wasn’t able to end his career with a win over Forrest Griffin last night at UFC 148, but he’s still proud of the way he fought and believes that he should have had his hand raised at the end.
“It hurts a little bit, but I felt like a left it all in there,” Ortiz told ESPN post-fight. “I didn’t hold anything back. I though I won, but the judges didn’t see it that way. The fans seen that I won, even Forrest thought that I won.
I can’t say anything about it, man, I gave it everything I could. I fought the way I wanted to fight. I dropped him twice, I took him down three times. I caused damage. What can you do? Like I say, I look a the fight and I gave it everything I could.”
