UFC 194 Salaries

The basic salaries for UFC 194 have now been released and show that the new UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was the evening’s biggest earner with $500,000 (which was guaranteed whether he won or lost).

McGregor is also believed to have a cut of the pay-per-view revenue, and with the early indications being that the blockbuster show is set to be the biggest of the year for the company, the Irish superstar is certain to have made millions on the night for just 13 seconds of action.

Dethroned champion Jose Aldo was also a big earner on the night with a $400,000 basic salary, and he’ll also have taken a cut of the PPV as well.

We actually have to go to the prelims to see the next biggest earner as veteran star Urijah Faber pocketed $300,000 for his latest victory.

Next up was Chris Weidman who lost his middleweight title in Las Vegas, but did still take home $275,000 and should have taken a slice of the PPV, while the new champ Luke Rockhold pocketed $160,000.

Three other fighters earned a six figure sum, with Demian Maia earning his $156,000 with a main card jiu-jitsu clinic, while Yoel Romero was close behind with $150,000 and the man he defeated, Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza trousering $135,000.
