UFC Fight Night 121 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 121 event in Sydney, Australia the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a three round back-and-forth stand-up war between Frank Camacho and Damien Brown.

This was a slugfest in which both men repeatedly ate big shots, but Camacho got the better of it and would edge Brown out via split decision.

However, there was a sting in the tale for Camacho as his $50,000 bonus was rescinded due to the fact that he had failed to make weight for the fight.

The first ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus was awarded to Nik Lentz who had threatened former Bellator champ Will Brooks with a guillotine choke earlier in their fight before he tried for it again in the second round, rolled on top with it and forced the tap-out.

Also scooping up a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award was Tai Tuivasa who finished Rashad Coulter in impressive fashion during the prelims, with the heavyweight hurting his opponent with a punch and then perfectly placing a flying knee to knock Coulter out cold, with a final punch landing on the ground before the referee was able to call an end to the contest.
