During a media conference call yesterday the UFC officially confirmed that Invicta FC will be joining the UFC Fight Pass service and announced that the first live event from the all-female promotion to air on the service will be on September 6th.
Headlining the show will be atomweight champion Michelle Waterson who fights Yasuko Tamada, while there’s more title action in the co-main event with Stephanie Eggink and Katja Kankaanpaa vying for the vacant strawweight belt.
During the media call it was also revealed that Invicta FC’s past events are now available to watch on the Fight Pass service too. Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp stated that while the promotion’s plans aren’t set in stone, the hope is to have a live event air every other month.
Meanwhile, the promotion’s best known fighter, Cris ‘Cyborg’ is expected to make her 135lb debut in December against an as yet unannounced opponent.
