One of the stars of the UFC’s new flyweight division, Ian ‘Uncle Creepy’ McCall was arrested earlier this week in California for a number of outstanding warrants.
McCall, who’s openly admitted in the past to having a history of drug abuse, was arrested after police did a warrant check on him and found that he was wanted for possession of narcotic paraphernelia and possession of prescription medication without a valid prescription in addition to driving with a suspended license.
The 28 year-old’s bail was set at $16,500 and it’s believed that he’s now being held at Orange County Central Men’s jail awaiting his trial on September 13th.
McCall signed with the UFC earlier this year and took part in a four-man tournament to decide the UFC’s first flyweight champion. His first fight with Demetrious Johnson ended in a draw and forced a rematch in June which Johnson won by unanimous decision.
He was then scheduled to fight at ‘UFC On FOX 4’, but had to pull out due to an injury.
