UFC On FOX 13 TV Ratings

Saturday night’s UFC On FOX 13 event drew an average of 2.8 million viewers and peaked with 3.8 million viewers during the main event heavyweight clash between Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic.

It just so happens that’s exactly the same average audience as watched last December’s UFC On FOX 9 event which featured a main event flyweight title fight pitting current champion Demetrious Johnson against Joseph Benavidez.

On paper this past weekend’s event looked more likely to attract casual fans with three heavyweight fights on tap and the return of Nate Diaz, and in terms of entertainment the four-fight main card delivered with two first round KO’s and a five round slug-fest in the main event, but it didn’t make a meaningful impact to the overall viewership.

Nevertheless, UFC On FOX 13 still won the night in key demographics like Males 18-34, Adults 18-34 and Males 18-49, and delivered an overall 1.6 rating.

Earlier in the evening the UFC On FOX 13 prelims were watched by an average of 654,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1, up 41,000 from UFC On FOX 9’s prelims a year earlier.

Elsewhere on Saturday night WSOF also had an event headlined by a welterweight title fight between Rousimar Palhares and Jon Fitch. The event drew 181,000 viewers on NBC Sports which is a little below average by their standards which isn’t surprising giving that they were going head-to-head with the UFC.
