Glover Teixeira proved once again that he’s the real deal tonight at UFC 160 as he tapped out James Te Huna in the first round with a guillotine choke.
Teixeira swoops for an early takedown, but doesn’t’ get it and he instead settles for a hard punch that lands solidly and backs up Te Huna.
They are going toe-to-toe and Te Huna holds his own as they trade big punches. Then Teixeira goes looking for a takedown and this time he lands it.
Teixeira works some punches in as he attempts to pass the guard. They scramble and Te Huna gets back to his feet, but Teixeira is not in a mood to let him go and locks up the guillotine and times it well to drop back to the mat with it and then turns to crank it deeper and produces the tap with 2.37mins on the clock!
Teixeira continues to look impressive and is very much in the title hunt now at 205lbs.
