Taking a leaf out of boxing’s promotional playbook, the UFC will promote their upcoming PPV events with a press tour that’ll cover 11 cities in five different countries, starting on July 29th.

Four of the UFC’s current champions, Georges St.Pierre, Jon Jones, Ronda Rousey and Cain Velasquez (who all have title fights before the end of the year) will join their opponents Johny Hendricks, Alexander Gustafsson, Miesha Tate and Junior Dos Santos on the five day tour alongside UFC President Dana White.

The U.S (Las Vegas, California, New York, Texas, Chicago), Canada (Montreal), Sweden (Stockholm), UK (London) and Brazil (Rio) will all be stopping points to drum up business for UFC 165, UFC 166, UFC 167 and UFC 168, with media days, open workouts, fighter interviews and press conferences all on the itinerary.

There’s a lot of good fights coming up in the next six months so it’s nice to see the UFC going the extra mile to help spread the word about them.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
