Current welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and BMF title holder Jorge Masvidal became embroiled in a heated verbal confrontation during a media gathering for Super Bowl LIV in Miami yesterday.
Both fighters had both been making appearance on Radio Row over the course of the day when they ran into each other and started shouting back-and-forth while others held them back.
“Do something,” Usman can be seen shouting at Masvidal in video footage. “That’s all I hear you talking. Do something. You come up talking. Do something.”
“You got a cast on, b–h,” Masvidal said while blowing a kiss at him. “I ain’t going to take advantage of you like that. You got a cast on b–h. You lucky. That’s the only reason nothing’s happening.”
Later, Usman continued the war of words on Twitter.
“Lil bitch brought his camera to try and flex and act hard,” Usman wrote. “I was dolo and If you wanted to do something you could have tried but you didn’t lol #youplayedyourself #cloutchaser #tookanotherL.”
The two fighters aren’t currently signed to fight each other, but Masvidal has stated recently that he’s turned his sights on Usman due to his belief that Conor McGregor isn’t going to fight him.
