Anderson Silva might be the biggest thing since sliced bread in Brazil right now, but a number of the countries leading fighters are also cashing in on the popularity of MMA there at this moment in time.
Amongst them is former light-heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida who is the star of a new ‘Head & Shoulders’ commercial in Brazil.
While it’s becoming more commonplace to see this kind of exposure for MMA fighters in that region it’s still remarkable to see how far the sport has grown there in such a short space of time.
During PRIDE’s heyday there was a similar influx of adverts featuring MMA fighters in Japan, but this appears to even be outdoing that with massive brands like Nike, Burger King, Peugeot and SKY to name but a few all getting involved.
