Zabit Magomedsharipov Out Of Calvin Kattar Fight At UFC On ESPN 6

One of the UFC’s most impressive rising talents Zabit Magomedsharipov has been forced out of his co-main event fight with Calvin Kattar at UFC On ESPN 6 in Boston on October 18th.

It’s not clear exactly why Magomedsharipov has had to withdraw from the fight at this stage, but it’s been reported that it shouldn’t keep him out of action for long.

The 28-year-old has so far racked up five wins in a row since joining the UFC in 2017, including earning a unnanimous decision victory over Jeremy Stephens in his last fight back in March.

However, Magomedsharipov’s unbeaten run stretches back much further than that, having not tasted defeat since 2013, while his impressive career record stands at 17-1.

Kattar can boast an impressive record too though. He’s only lost once in five UFC outings so far and is coming off a knockout victory over Ricardo Lamas, while you’d have to go back as far as 2010 to find the next time he’d experienced defeat during his 20-3 career.

It’s unclear what the UFC will do with Kattar now, and in the mean time they will now be seeking a new co-main event for the event, which sees Chris Weidman move up to light-heavyweight to fight Dominick Reyes in the main event of the evening.
