Anderson Silva indicates that he may be willing to engage in a ‘superfight’ with light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones next – providing he gets past Chris Weidman first.

“The fight is the fight. I take my thoughts now for Chris Weidman, and maybe the next fight [will be Jones],” Silva says in a new interview.

Asked to clarify that he’d be open to that fight he replies, “Yeah, yeah – I’m working for the UFC, this is my work – it’s normal.”

First things first though – Chris Weidman on Saturday night at UFC 162, and Dana White confirmed earlier this week that if the champion loses then he’ll get an immediate rematch which is only fitting given that up until this point he’s been unbeaten in his entire 16 fight UFC career.
