Andrei Arlovski To Fight Jairzinho Rozenstruik At UFC 244

Andrei Arlovski will be back in action against Jairzinho Rozenstruik at UFC 244 in New York City on November 2nd.

The 40-year-old is coming off a decision victory over Ben Rothwell just a couple of months ago, but before that he had gone without a win in his previous four-fights.

During that period he lost on the scorecards to Tai Tuivasa, Shamil Abdurakhimov and Augusto Sakai, while another split decision loss against Walt Harris was later amended to a no-contest after his opponent tested positive for a banned substance.

Now he’ll be going up against arguably the least recognisable name in his second stint in the UFC to date, but Rozenstruik’s perfect 8-0 record to date suggests he’s not someone to be underestimated.

Hailing from the South American country of Suriname, ‘Bigi Boi’ has already earned two victories inside the Octagon so far, having TKO’d Junior Albini and then knocked out Allen Crowder to earn a step up in competition against the former heavyweight champion.

Arlovski vs. Rozenstruik joins a UFC 244 card that will be headlined by a blockbuster 170lb main event between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, while Kelvin Gastelum will welcome Darren Till to the middleweight division in the co-main event of the evening at Madison Square Garden.
