Former boxing champion Paulie Malignaggi talked all sorts of trash ahead of his bare knuckle boxing bout with former UFC fighter Artem Lobov on Saturday night, but in the ring he couldn’t back up his words with action.
Malignaggi, who had spat at Lobov during one presser and slapped him during another, struggled to make an impact against Lobov, getting the better of the second round with his best offense of the fight, but then finding himself coming off second best as the MMA fighter and training partner of Conor McGregor turned up the heat.
In the end that would be enough to swing the fight in Lobov’s favor to emerge with a unanimous decision victory (48-47 x3).
