Artem Lobov Fights Zubaira Tukhogov At UFC Fight Night 138

Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov will square off against one of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s training partners Zubaira Tukhogov at UFC Fight Night 138 in Moncton, Canada on October 27th.

Not only is it a clash between two rival camps, but a confrontation between Nurmagomedov and Lobov at a hotel lobby in NYC during UFC 223 fight week back in April was the catalyst for McGregor to fly to the city and attack a bus containing ‘The Eagle’ just days later, so there’s likely to be plenty of bad blood surrounding this particular match-up.

Lobov is coming into the fight off the back of two losses against Cub Swanson and Andre Fili.

Prior to that the 32-year-old had claimed victories over Chris Avila and Teruto Ishihara, but overall his UFC record stands at just 2-4.

Meanwhile, Tukhogov is coming back after a two-year suspension due to testing positive for the banned substance Ostarine in 2016 during an out-of-competition test.

At the time Tukhogov was coming off a split-decision loss to Renato Moicano, but had won his three fights in the UFC before that against Douglas Silva de Andrade, Ernest Chavez and Phillipe Nover.

Lobov Vs Tukhogov joins a UFC Fight Night 138 card that will feature a lightweight headliner between Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith.
