Bellator 286 Results

Bellator 286 took place last night and we’ve got all the results for you below.

In the main event, Patricio ‘Pitbull’ Freire retained his featherweight title with a unanimous decision win against Adam Borics.

It proved to be a very lacklustre fight though, with little in the way of meaningful action, leading to the two men essentially being booed by the crowd from start to finish as Freire did enough on the mat to coast to a win on the scorecards.

Meanwhile, Freire’s previous opponent A.J. McKee got back to winning ways with a unanimous decision victory against Spike Carlyle.

This was a much more exciting fight, with Carlyle throwing everything but the kitchen sink at McKee from the opening bell. However, McKee didn’t back down to that aggression and was willing to meet fire with fire at times, while still being able to get his superior wrestling and grappling game going throughout the fight to win convincingly by unanimous decision.

The other most notable fight saw Aaron Pico’s night come to an unfortunate end when he suffered a dislocated shoulder in the opening round of his fight with Jeremy Kennedy.

Pico was seen trying to pop his shoulder back in while the action was still on-going and when the round concluded his corner also tried desperately to deal with the injury to enable him to continue, but the doctor waved off the fight and so Kennedy emerges with a TKO victory.
