Brad Riddell vs. Jalin Turner Set For UFC 276

Lightweight fighter Brad Riddell’s next bout will be against Jalin Turner at UFC 276 on July 2nd during International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

Riddell is coming off the first loss of his five-fight UFC run, having suffered a knockout defeat against Rafael Fiziev courtesy of a spinning wheel kick back in December of last year.

Prior to that the 30-year-old Riddell had made a significant impact in the 155lb ranks, racking up four wins in a row, starting with a split unanimous decision win against Jamie Mullarkey in 2019.

A split decision win over Magomed Mustafaev followed in 2020, and then two more victories via unanimous decision against Alex da Silva Coelho and Drew Dober, which leaves him ranked at No.14 on the lightweight ladder heading into his next fight.

Now Riddell will go up against the unranked Turner, who has compiled a four-fight winning streak of his own over the past couple of years.

It’s a run that began with a TKO finish against Joshua Culibao, followed by back-to-back submission stoppages of Brok Weaver and Uros Medic, while most recently in March of this year he TKO’d Jamie Mullarkey.

Riddell vs. Turner joins a UFC 276 card that’s headlined by middleweight title action as dominant champion Israel Adesanya fights Jared Cannonier, while in the co-main event there’s a trilogy title encounter at featherweight as Alexander Volkanovski once again squares up to former champ Max Holloway.
