Cheyanne Buys made short work of Gloria de Paula tonight at UFC On ESPN 28, with a big head kick and follow-up ground-and-pound sealing the TKO finish just a minute into the fight.
Round One:
Early exchange and Buys gets a couple of straight punches through there. Overhand right and more punches behind it from Buys, then continues to gather momentum by landing a takedown in the center of the cage.
Buys looking to settle on top, but de Paula kicks her off and starts to stand up, only to then be greeted by a big head kick that floors her!
Buys thinks the fight is over, but then quickly gets back to work, bringing de Paula back down to the mat and blasting her with brutal elbow strikes to convince the ref this fight is over. Impressive stuff from Buys then and that adds a fast TKO victory to her resume at the one minute mark of the opening round.
