Conor McGregor is in trouble with the police again after smashing a fan’s phone following a night out in Miami.
A police report detailing the incident says that McGregor and the victim were leaving the Fountainbleau hotel, Miami Beach in the early hours of Monday morning when the man tried to take a picture of ‘The Notorious’ on his mobile phone.
McGregor slapped the phone, said to be worth $1000, out of his hand and it landed on the floor, at which point he proceeded to stamp on it several times and then picked up it up and walked away.
McGregor was later arrested on felony charges of strong-arm robbery and criminal mischief of $1000 or more, resulting in him having to post a $12,500 bond in order to be released.
“Patience in this world is a virtue I continue to work on,” McGregor wrote on Instagram after posting bail. “I love my fans dearly. Thank you all.”
McGregor’s lawyer, Samuel J Rabin Jr also issued a brief statement on the matter.
“Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation involving a cellphone that resulted in a call to law enforcement,” Rabin Jr stated. “Mr McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full cooperation.”
