Conor McGregor has a new verbal sparring partner on social media after NBA star Draymond Green took aim at him over the weekend.
“We rocking with Floyd bro not you… take that off bruh,” Green informed McGregor on Instagram after spotting him wearing a Golden State Warriors No.23 jersey in a recent photo.
No.23 is Green’s number for the Warriors, but McGregor was quick to respond to the basketball star, and clued him in on the fact that this had absolutely nothing to do with him.
“That’s C.J. Watson, mate,” McGregor said, referencing the previous player to wear the No.23 shirt for the Warriors. “I don’t know who the f*ck you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school.”
“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.J. when I don’t give a f*ck about basketball. I dribble head off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here, kid.”
At this stage it’s likely that Green started to wish he’d never called out McGregor, as the real reason ‘The Notorious’ is wearing the jersey is that Floyd Mayweather was once sent to jail after he flew into a rage and hit his ex-girlfriend after finding out that she’s been communicating via text with the aforementioned Watson.
So, all this social media altercation has done is bring Mayweather’s domestic violence issues to light again, while a swarm of McGregor’s fans have since descended on Green’s Instagram page to give him a hard time.
