Conor McGregor Signals He Has No Intention Of Retiring From Fighting

With Conor McGregor having amassed a fortune with his blockbuster fights in the UFC and boxing ring, together with the success of his ‘Proper 12’ whiskey, there’s been speculation that Conor McGregor might just walk away from fighting, but the Irish superstar has now poured cold water on that idea.

McGregor suggested as much in response to a fan on Twitter who questioned whether it was worth him stepping into the Octagon again.

“Even though I love @TheNotoriousMMA and would love to see him fight again in the @ufc however at this point…why? 🤔 just keep investing and getting richer!” wrote McGregor fan Ryan @rpm1200.

McGregor soon responded and gave some insight as to how he feels about the fight game.

“I hear you but I love it dearly,” McGregor wrote. “If I am being honest with myself I don’t think I will ever be able to fully walk away from fighting.

We are all fighters in this world and each of us will be fighting for the rest of our time here. So why not do it live on PPV baby. Pop a bottle!”

Despite that, as things stand McGregor doesn’t have a fight in the works at this moment in time, though Dana White has indicated that he intends to meet with him in the next couple of weeks, after a previous meeting in the U.S. fell through recently.
