Conor McGregor Thankful To Be Alive After being Hit By Car While On Bike

Conor McGregor is counting his lucky stars after being struck by a car while riding his bike on a country lane in his native Ireland.

“Got a bang of a car just now from behind,” McGregor stated on his Instagram post alongside a photo and two videos from the scene. “A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me.

“Full speed straight thru me. Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.”

McGregor filmed his reaction to the accident soon after it happened while his bike still lay damaged across the center of the road, stating, “That’s nasty, I could have been dead there.”

The driver could be heard in the background repeatedly apologizing to the star and then McGregor accepted his offer to take him and his bike back home.

“We’re still here, thank god, that’s all that matters,” McGregor said in another video as he was being driven to his house.

The accident occurred a day after McGregor had teased a potential stint as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter reality show in the near future, with Tony Ferguson having since suggested that he’s been targeted as the other coach.
