Corey Anderson Vs Ilir Latifi Booked for UFC 232 In December

A light-heavyweight fight between Corey Anderson and Ilir Latifi has been announced for UFC 232 on December 29th in Las Vegas.

Anderson enters into this fight following back-to-back wins so far in 2018, having earned unanimous decision wins over both Patrick Cummins and Glover Teixeira.

That’s a relief for the 28-year-old, who prior to that had suffered two knockout losses in a row against Jimi Manuwa and Ovince Saint Preux, and he currently hold the No.6 spot on the official 205lb rankings.

His next opponent Latifi is in a similar position, having also won his last two fights in a row, following up a unanimous decision victory over Tyson Pedro with a guillotine choke submission against Ovince Saint Preux back in February.

Like Anderson, the 35-year-old Latifi was also bouncing back after a tough KO loss against Ryan Bader, but his recent wins have ensured that he’s currently three spots ahead of his rival at No.3 in the divisional rankings.

Anderson Vs Latifi joins te end-of-year UFC 232 card, which will be headlined by a women’s superfight between featherweight champion Cris ‘Cyborg’ and bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes.
