Cris Cyborg Vs Felicia Spencer In The Works For UFC 240

A featherweight title fight between Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino and Felicia Spencer is currently been negotiated for UFC 240 in Alberta, Canada on July 27th.

This would be ‘Cyborg’s’ first fight back in the Octagon since her long undefeated streak was finally broken in just 51 seconds courtesy of bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, who knocked her out to become a two-division titleholder.

Prior to that Cyborg had been on a winning streak that had lasted a staggering 13 years, including five victories in the UFC over the likes of Leslie Smith, Lina Lansberg, Tonya Evinger, Holly Holm and Yana Kunitskaya.

Now she’ll look to get back to winning ways against Spencer, who only just made her UFC debut a couple of weeks ago, securing a first round submission victory over Megan Andersonat UFC Fight Night 152.

The undefeated Spencer was previously Invicta FC’s featherweight champion, having won the vacant title with a decision win over Pam Sorenson, while overall the 28-year-old’s record stands at a perfect 7-0 to date.

At this stage the fighters are still in talks about the match-up, but if it does become official it will likely serve as the co-main event underneath a featherweight title headliner between Max Holloway and Frankie Edgar.
