Dana White Contender Series 5 Week 7 Results

Three more fighters joined the UFC last night after winning their fights on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Co-main event winner Martin Buday was one of those who secured a contract after he delivered a first round finish against Lorenzo Hood, doing damage from the clinch and then landing a big knee to the head that led to the stoppage just four seconds before the end of the first round.

Despite missing weight a day earlier, Jake Hadley still won his place on the roster after he was able to take down Mitch Raposo in the second round and then submit him with a rear-naked choke.

Viacheslav Borschev was the other fighter to fight his way into the UFC after he delivered a one-punch KO finish against Chris Duncan early in the second round.

Less fortunate were Christian Rodriguez and Maria Silva, who both won their fights via a clean sweep on the judges scorecards (30-27 x3) against Reyes Cortez and Kathryn Paprocki respectively, but were not given a contract for their efforts.
