Dana White Turns Down Invitation To Ronda Rousey’s Wedding

There was no bigger fan of MMA superstar Ronda Rousey than UFC president Dana White during her dominant run in the sport, but when she called him up yesterday to invite him to her impending wedding to UFC heavyweight star Travis Browne, he refused.

In all fairness though, his excuse for declining was pretty legit.

“Ronda Rousey gets married tomorrow,” White revealed on the Rich Eisen show yesterday. “Tomorrow is her wedding. She’s in a good place, she’s happy and hasn’t announced her retirement or anything like that, but she’s focusing on this wedding.”

“Of all the days … She said, ‘I’m getting married. Will you come to the wedding?’ I said, ‘Absolutely.’

“The wedding’s tomorrow…”

As such, White had no option but to decline, as he’ll be too busy in Las Vegas preparing for tonight’s once-in-a-lifetime boxing match between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and the undefeated legend of the squared circle, Floyd Mayweather.

White has been bodly predicting this week that McGregor is going to “shock the world” by defying the odds and stopping Mayweather, but at the same time, in a moment of raw honesty, he told the Irish superstar on the latested edition of the ‘Embedded’ video series that, “I’m sick to my stomach,” with excitement for the fight.
