Dana White’s Contender Series 32 Results

Yet another four fighters have joined the UFC after their victories on Dana White’s Contender Series last night in Las Vegas.

Main event winner Tafon Nchukwi was undoubtedly the talk of the show after he unleashed a brutal head kick that knocked out Al Matavao cold in the second round.

Matavao had left himself vulnerable after ducking into a missed body shot and was then caught cleanly by Nchukwi’s foot as he was in the process of straightening back up again.

Phil Hawes also earned a UFC contract after a quick finish against Khazhimurat Bestaev, softening him up with low kicks and then connecting with an overhand right to floor him, before follow-up hammerfists seeled a 78 second TKO finish.

For the most part it was an evening of quick finishes, including Drako Rodriguez’s triangle choke finish of Mana Martinez mid-way through the first round, and also Aliaskhab Khizriev’s 50 second rear-naked choke stoppage of Henrique Shiguemoto, and both winners were rewarded with a UFC contract for their efforts.
