Dana White’s Contender Series 8 Episode 5 Results And Highlights

The 5th episode of Contender Series 8 took place last night and led to three more fighters being awarded UFC contracts.

They included Navajo Stirling, who ended the night with a bang as he knocked out Phillip Latu with a left hook to the chin in the second round.

Josias Musas also claimed a contract after he fought his way to a split-decision win over Otar Tanzilovi.

The third contract went to Nicolle Caliari, who was able to catch Corinne LaFramboise in an armbar submission late on in the first round of the evening’s first bout.

Meanwhile, despite notching up a third round TKO victory over Taiga Iwasaki courtesy of jumping knees to the head along with a series of punches, Yousri Belgaroui still didn’t impress Dana White enough to earn a spot on the UFC roster, with some struggles earlier in the fight along with some eye-poke violations in the 2nd round counting against him.

And another fight scheduled for the event fell through at the last moment when Quemuel Ottoni decided he didn’t want to go through with his fight against Kody Steele.
