Daniel Cormier Reacts To His Unexpected Title Shot Against Jon Jones

Daniel Cormier appeared on the latest edition of ‘Inside The Octagon’ to give his first reaction to the unexpected news that he’ll be fighting Jon Jones for the light-heavyweight title at UFC 178 in September after Alexander Gustafsson pulled out due to a knee injury.

Cormier says that ideally he’d have liked to have a full three month training camp in preparation for a title fight, but that nine weeks should be sufficient even though he’s a little heavier right now than he would have liked (235lbs).
