UFC Fight Night 185 has had a major change to it’s main event after Darren Till was forced out of his fight with Jack Hermansson in Las Vegas on December 5th due to an undisclosed injury.
However, the UFC have been able to bring in a worthy replacement as the in-form Kevin Holland will now step in on a month’s notice to fight Hermansson instead.
Holland is less than a week removed from his latest victory, having TKO’d late replacement Charlie Ontiveros with a body slam mid-way through the first round.
That extended Holland’s current winning streak to four fights, having also defeated Anthony Hernandez, Joaquin Buckley and Darren Stewart during that period.
The no.4 ranked Hermansson is certainly a big step up in competition for him though as the Swede comes in off a swift submission win over Kelvin Gastelum back in July.
Hermansson has only lost once in his last six Octagon outings and overall holds an 8-3 record in the UFC, with some of his other big wins being against the likes of Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza, David Branch and Thales Leites.
Hermansson vs. Holland leads a UFC Fight Night 185 card that will also include Ovince Saint Preux vs. Jamahal Hill and Gian Villante vs. Jake Collier.
