Felicia Spencer made an impressive debut tonight at UFC Fight Night 152, earning a first round submission victory over another former Invita FC featherweight champion Megan Anderson.
Round One:
Inside leg kick for Spencer. Kick to the body for her, but Anderson lands a counter punch. Spencer clinches up against the taller fighter and presses her up against the cage.
Knees to the leg against the cage from Spencer. Spencer tries for a rolling takedown, but has to scramble to make it work. She is able to take Anderson’s back though, but almost slips off.
She adjusts and Spencer now more securely has Anderson’s back on the mat. Spencer landing some punches and Anderson gets to her knees, but Spencer gets her hooks in and continues punching.
Anderson gets one hook off, but not able to get back to her feet yet. Anderson tries to shrug her opponent off her back, but it doesn’t work and Spencer lands a few more punches.
Now Spencer goes for the rear-naked choke and Anderson’s quickly in trouble here and taps out. Big win for Spencer in the first round with only.
