Holly Holm Vs Aspen Ladd Lined Up For UFC 235

Holly Holm will return to action in a bantamweight fight against Aspen Ladd at UFC 235 in Las Vegas on March 2nd.

The 37-year-old Holm is coming off a two-fight stint at featherweight that first saw her challenge for the 145lb title against Cris Cyborg, losing out by unanimous decision, before going on to claim a win on the scorecards against former Invicta FC champion Megan Anderson in June.

Holm’s last fight at 135lbs was against Bethe Correia, who she knocked out with a head kick back in June of last year, and overall she’s had a 4-2 run in the weight class since joining the UFC, which of course includes a famous title-winning knockout victory over Ronda Rousey in 2015.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old Ladd brings an unblemished 7-0 MMA record to this fight, which has so far included two victories inside the UFC’s Octagon.

In her debut, Ladd racked up a second round TKO stoppage against Lina Lansberg and she’s since also TKO’d Tonya Evinger in the first round back in October.

Holm Vs Ladd joins a UFC 235 card that doesn’t yet have a main event installed, but is expected to play host to Ben Askren’s UFC debut against Robbie Lawler, while Zabit Magomedsharipov fights Jeremy Stephens and Diego Sanchez goes up against Mickey Gall.
