Hyder Amil blasted Jeong-Yeong Lee from pillar to post with a massive flurry of punches in the opening round of their fight tonight at UFC On ESPN 60 to earn a TKO victory.
Round One:
Body kick from Amil to start. Good counter-right hand from Amil and then there’s a brief clinch.
Back in the center of the Octagon they throw caution to the wind by trading sort, tight punches at close range and both men connected in that wild exchange.
Amil is fired up and comes in again and starts unleashing an absolute torrent of tight hooks that are all landing, repeatedly sending Lee’s head whipping left and right. Lee’s not going down, but he can’t get out of the way of this relentless onslaught and so in the end the ref has no option but to step in to save him from further punishment, with the TKO finish coming at the 1.05min mark of the opening round.
That finish has to be seen to be believed, with Amil landing well over 30 punches in the fight-ending sequence!
