Fresh off his impressive KO finish over Johnny Walker in the main event of UFC Fight Night 201 this past weekend, Jamahal Hill has been quick to go on the offensive against one of his other fellow light-heavyweights, Volkan Oezdemir, who appears to still be questioning his ability.
“Stop doubting. Start believing, ’cause it’s for real,” Hill had stated in his post-fight interview after the fight, which had lead to Oezdemir weighing in with his own opinion.
“I’m still doubting,” Oezdemir wrote on Twitter.
That led to Hill pulling no punches with his response.
“I mean that understandable with the brain damage you took in your last 2 fights!!! (1 against a guy making his debut) My hands will change your life think it’s a game and fuck around and find out!!!” Hill fired back at Oezdemir.
“Don’t fly too high, the fall will be harsh,” Oezdemir replied. “You’re about to enter top 10. Welcome 🤫👊🏻.”
“I’m dead I can’t wait to sleep all yall hero’s cuz yall clearly don’t know the game or what your seeing!!!” Hill stated. “I’m done speaking on it just wait on it!”
Oezdemir currently holds the No.8 spot on the light-heavyweight ladder, but as Hill reminded him, he has lost his last two fights in a row, and in fact looking further back holds only two wins in his last seven UFC appearances.
By way of contrast, Hill has now won his last two fights via KO and holds a 4-1 (+1nc) record overall in the UFC so far.
