Jorge Masvidal Released On Bond After Arrest In Miami Over Colby Covington Attack

Jorge Masvidal has been released on bond after being arrested and charged yesterday in relation to an altercation with his rival Colby Covington outside the Papi Steak restaurant in Miami Beach.

A WPLG Local 10 news Video showed a handcuffed Masvidal running into a police station in Miami from a patrol car, where he was then booked and charged with aggravated battery with a mask and criminal mischief.

Aggravated battery is considered a second-degree felony and carries a punishment of up to 15 years in jail and a $15,000 fine.

Masvidal’s bond was set at $15,000 and he’s since secured that and been released according to official online records.

Masvidal reportedly punched Covington twice after allegedly ambushing him outside the restaurant on Monday night, leaving his rival with a broken tooth and an abrasion to his wrist, while he also claimed he’d suffered $15,000 worth of damage to his Rolex watch.
